Plant Manager - Warp Knit Textile Manufacturing

As the plant manager at our mill, you will oversee all daily operations, including production, manufacturing, and maintenance, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. You will further develop processes to maximize safety, quality, and productivity. This is a unique opportunity to train under the current plant manager and learn the ropes!

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain an ongoing overview of facility efficiencies through established KPIs.
  • Regularly meet with department supervisors to identify any potential issues and opportunities for continual improvement.
  • Manage manufacturing cost structures by keeping operational expenses within budget limits and exploring cost-reduction strategies.
  • Regularly collaborate with other facilities’ managers to ensure implementation of best practices.
  • Ensure that production schedules align with facility capabilities, customer requirements, and financial planning.
  • Regularly meet with the corporate leadership team to review facility performance.
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with key vendors.
  • Maintain an overview of shipments, incoming inventory, and storage operations.
  • Coordinate manufacturing operations for production, machinery, processing, and packaging departments.
  • Create and maintain documentation protocols to ensure proper record-keeping and review of all operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety procedures, and local and state health and safety regulations.
  • Work with the Quality department to establish company standards. Take an active role in addressing quality non-conformance and customer complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the company's maintenance department and external contractors regarding building maintenance.
  • Oversee the Human Resources process of screening, interviewing, hiring, and training potential new employees.
  • Manage conflict resolutions among departments and employees.
  • Supervise and monitor the performance and activities of all staff members at every level.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3 years' previous experience as a plant manager, supervisor, or related position.
  • An understanding of knitting and warping technologies.
  • Adequate understanding of business and management principles, including budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, and human resources.
  • Knowledgeable about safety, quality, productivity, and inventory.
  • Strong aptitude for root cause analysis and troubleshooting operational issues.
  • Strong leadership, team building, and managerial attributes. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and computer technology.
  • Knowledge of ERP software and ability to learn new software. Knowledge of CSI a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
