Overview
The Plant Manager oversees the production facility and offices, ensuring quality products are produced efficiently and delivered on time. This role involves driving business processes, optimizing plant capacity, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring the timely delivery of manufactured goods.
Responsibilities
- Organize the manufacturing plant to optimize output from raw material procurement to finished product shipment.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring productivity aligns with KPIs while achieving quality, safety, and teamwork goals in real-time.
- Address and resolve production bottlenecks, focusing on root cause solutions to maintain workflow.
- Ensure availability and maintenance of equipment, materials, supplies, and tools to support the team.
- Drive yield improvements, project completion, and objectives to deliver measurable business results.
- Manage team performance through daily training, coaching, and mentoring, supplemented with formal performance reviews.
- Actively listen to and address team concerns promptly and constructively.
- Provide input to the leadership team, other Plant Managers, and the President to support continuous improvement and manufacturing efficiency.
Skills
- 5 years of experience in manufacturing environments within production management
- Experience with production planning
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing (5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
- Experience with Project Management
- Strong communication skills
- Bachelor's Degree
- Start Up experience a HUGE plus
- Experience with textiles a plus
- Experience with chemical batching processes a plus
- Experience leading small teams a plus
- Experience with NetSuite a plus
