Leader in Training Camp Director BONUS ELIGIBLE

A one-time bonus in the amount of $300 will be paid to eligible part-time camp staff who work an average of 32 hours per week or more during eight of the 13 weeks listed below. Eligible camp staff include the following part-time staff:  leader in training camp lead, licensed director camps, licensed lead camps, and teen adventure camp director. Specified timeframe begins May 18, 2025, and ends on August 15, 2025. This bonus is scheduled to be paid on the August 29, 2025, payroll.

Note:  Bonuses are considered taxable income and are subject to standard tax withholdings. For example, a $300 bonus will not result in a net paycheck of $300.

The Leader in Training Director is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all daily activities for the Apex PRD Leader in Training Camp. The LIT Director must have demonstrated to the hiring authority maturity of judgment, administrative ability and the skill to appropriately supervise and direct school-age children in an unstructured setting. 
 
The Director will provide a safe, healthy and positive environment. Their daily responsibility is to schedule team building activities, schedule leadership opportunities and schedule volunteer opportunities for this age group. The LIT Director will facilitate all field trips; discipline both to maintain positive daily outcomes and overall program management; assess the overall program to see if there are any changes that need to be made for optimum functioning; establish a procedure for handling all difficulties related to health, behavior and other problems and report incidents to the Recreation Coordinator.

Schedule will vary between 7:30 A.M. and 6:00 P.M. Monday thru Friday from May 27 through August 15

• Must be at least 21 years old.

• Obtains a valid Colorado Driver’s License, appropriate insurance coverage and clean driving record for the past three years

• Have the ability to drive a 12-passenger van, with a clean driving record

• Must have a satisfactory review with the Central Registry of Child Protection

• Provide 3 references

• Will receive CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration and Universal Precautions Certified required within 90 days of hire.

• Ability to be on your feet for 6-8 hours at a time and lift 40lbs.
• Associate is expected to exhibit the district's core values of Honesty, Attitude, Loyalty and Teamwork.

• High School diploma required.

• The LIT Director has satisfactory experience includes experience in the care and supervision of four or more children from the ages of eleven (11)-seventeen (17) years old, unrelated to the individual, since attaining the age of eighteen (18).
• Must have customer service experience and good conflict management skills.

The noise level in the environment is moderate to loud. Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including summer sun and temperatures. Work will be performed in both indoor and outdoor environments. Occasional travel by automobile is required to reach a recreation activity site located away from the Recreation Center.
