What are the responsibilities and job description for the Soccer Coach position at Apex Park and Recreation District?
Design and implement age-appropriate training sessions that develop technical, tactical, and physical skills that are focused on fun, skill building, and teamwork. Provide positive reinforcement and constructive feedback to enhance player development. Introduce fundamental soccer skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and coordination in an engaging and supportive manner Foster a positive and inclusive environment where all players feel encouraged to participate and improve and emphasizes respect and effort. Ensure player safety by following best practices for warm-ups, cooldowns, and injury prevention. Communicate effectively with players, parents, and organization staff regarding schedules, and expectations. Set up and take down equipment as needed for practices/games. Monitor and evaluate player progress, making adjustments to training plans as needed. Adhere to all league, club, and organizational policies and procedures.
- Minimum hiring age is 16
- Passion for working with kids and creating a fun learning environment that enhances player development.
- Strong leadership, patience, and communication skills.
- General understanding of soccer rules, techniques, and tactics.
- Ability to engage and manage young children in a group setting.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to the program schedule.
- Ability to work afternoons/evenings and weekends as required.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strength and conditioning certifications is a plus, but not a requirement.
Salary : $17 - $24
