This person will create exercise dance classes for people with chronic conditions.
This position will also be responsible for recruiting young adults, teens and children with disabilities into our programs, and working towards a spring/summer show for these young people as well. The person in this position will also get to work on our annual holiday musical production which is one of the largest programs we run all year in the Therapeutic Recreation department. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Basics understanding of individuals with disabilities, including the ability to perform the appropriate techniques for proper intervention.
- Ability to give verbal instructions to understand therapeutic recreation clients.
- Ability to lift 60 lbs. Must have upper body strength to lift and carry supplies and required safety equipment.
- Knowledge of, or experience in, sports, leisure education, arts and crafts, cooking, fitness, and adventure-based activities with an ability to adapt programs according to each individual's needs and abilities. Potential to bring creative new ideas to the Therapeutic Recreation program.
- Ability to swim, be in the pool and assist individuals with adaptive aquatics.
- CPR/First Aid card or ability to obtain one within two months of hire.
- Valid Colorado driver's license.

Salary : $17 - $24
