Job Description
Apex Pharmacy is seeking a pharmacy technician to join our team at our Baldwin Park, CA location. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients and other staff members.
Qualifications
- Associates or bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, pharmacotherapy, or related field required.
- Current active state pharmacy technician license required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a pharmacy or medical office preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and other staff members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multi-task and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Knowledge of drug dosage calculations, lab procedures, and patient charting required.
- Knowledge of drug storage procedures and techniques preferred.
Responsibilities: The responsibilities of this position include:
- Answering phones, taking messages, processing payments, and making prescriptions.
- Opening and closing the pharmacy.
- Greeting patients upon entry into the pharmacy.
- Checking prescription ingredients for accuracy prior to dispensing.
- Verifying patient addresses on patient charts prior to completing prescriptions.
- Processing returns, refunds, and exchanges for products and services purchased from the pharmacy.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
