What your day will look like:
- Set up and operate CMM equipment to measure parts and components according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Develop and modify CMM programs as needed to accommodate new parts, changes in design, or production requirements.
- Conduct dimensional inspections of parts and assemblies using CMM and other precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
- Analyze measurement data and generate detailed reports to document the quality and conformance of products.
- Identify and troubleshoot any issues related to measurement discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, or programming errors.
- Maintain accurate records of inspection results, calibration reports, and any non-conformities identified during the inspection process.
- Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to suggest improvements in measurement processes, CMM programming, and inspection methodologies.
What we are looking for:
- Proficient in using calipers and micrometers
- Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
- GD&T experience
- Familiar with conducting inspections in aerospace and medical manufacturing environments preferred
