STATUS: Full Time 30-40 hours per week
SCHEDULE: Monday- Thursday 8 am to 4 pm
Friday-8a-12p (may be required to stay later to finish tasks)
Task: Front Desk: your main goal is to make our patients feel welcomed
Starting Pay Range: Starting pay is $13.00 -$15.00/ hour (based on Podiatry experience)
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Straighten/organize the lobby daily, make sure lobby restroom is safe and in good working condition daily
- This position requires communicating with other staff, other offices, and patients
- Prepare Daily Schedule List
* Verify no balance is owed in Imagine, training provided
* Verify out-of-pockets costs before patient arrives
- Answer phone and check messages each morning and throughout day (phone system training provided)
- Make appropriate alerts in patient’s charts (training provided)
- Send notifications to other offices pertaining to canceled or missed referred appointments
- Computer and typing skills required- training on TrakNet provided
- Check in patients and make sure all paperwork is completed correctly
- Make appointments following schedule guide model
- Prep clip boards for patient registration
- Check fax, distribute faxes to appropriate employees, send faxes
- Help order supplies and inventory, (focus on front office inventory, make a list- sticky note on refrigerator weekly). Replace toner in fax machine when needed, notify manager if more needs to be ordered from Larry Brown.
- Notify office manager when business cards/reminder appointment cards & rack cards need to be ordered from Trademark
- Take out garbage (the cans need to be taken to the road on Thursday afternoons)
- This position does require lifting of objects up to 20 lbs.
- Keep my patients safe, wash your hands
- Stay up to date on HIPAA and OSHA standards
- Scan all paper documents into the correct patient chart in the EHR system
- Switch phones over at the beginning and end of the day
- Make post-op phone calls for in office procedures (make a log note; this goes for every time you speak with a patient)
- Lock up, set alarm, secure office when leaving for the day
- During office hours, never leave the office unattended
- Make appointment reminder calls the day before
- Handle/balance the money bag, take payments, make receipts, get change for the money bag when needed. Balance needs to be checked off by another employee/manager.
- Perform any other task when asked
