Our large yard holds a vast inventory of both raw materials and finished products, and we are looking for someone to coordinate the movement and organization of these materials to support our operations.
Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Materials Coordinator to oversee the organization, movement, and availability of materials in our stone yard. This role is essential in ensuring that materials are stored efficiently, tracked accurately, and delivered to the fabrication team on time. You will work closely with operations to ensure seamless coordination between material availability and production schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain the inventory of raw materials and finished stone products in the yard.
- Track material levels and communicate with the operations team about stock availability and requirements.
- Coordinate the movement of materials in and out of the yard, ensuring efficient handling and storage.
- Implement inventory tracking systems to monitor material quantities and locations.
- Assist in managing deliveries and shipments of materials, including receiving and inspecting incoming items.
- Work with the production team to ensure materials are available when needed for fabrication projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized yard to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Qualifications:
- Experience in material coordination, yard management, or inventory control is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on attention to detail.
- Ability to operate and maintain yard equipment (forklifts, loaders, etc.).
