DevSecOps Engineer
Colorado Springs,CO or Huntsville, AL

The selected candidate will support the DevSecOps team to develop and deploy Infrastructure as a Service and Platform as a Service capability. The candidate will assist in the system administration of multiple environments, software deployment, troubleshooting, and automation in a DevSecOps environment for a critical customer program. We are working with the leading DevOps practices and tooling (Hashicorp Tools, Gitlab CI/CD, Ansible Tower and Nexus Pro).
- Work on systems administration related issues with hardware and software for different network environments.
- Support deployment of custom software solutions integrating COTS, GOTS, and developed software.
- Propose administration process improvement to reduce overall maintenance requirements by working with the design team and manufacturers.
- Determines systems requirements, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance of system configuration.
- Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies.
- Develops and recommends corrective actions.
- May provide technical guidance for database administrators and software developers.
Career level typically with an advanced degree and 3 years' experience or bachelors with 5 years' experience or equivalent; wide application of principles, theories, and concepts in their field and provides solutions to a wide range of difficult problems with imaginative and thorough solutions; works under general direction, and results are reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives; failure to achieve results normally results in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources; frequent internal and external customer contacts and represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.
Basic Qualification:
- Experience with Linux or Windows System Administration
- Scripting skills in languages such as Bash or PowerShell
- Experience with automation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of DevSecOps principles
- Experience with Ansible Automation Platform, including Ansible Tower
- Experience with HashiCorp Packer and Vault
- Experience with Gitlab CI/CD
- Experience with Nexus
- Experience in virtualization technology, including, but not limited to, VMware
- Understanding of HP server configuration
- CompTIA Security (or equivalent) DoD 8 570.01-M IAT Level II Certification
