What are the responsibilities and job description for the Information Technology Field Technician position at Apex Systems?
Summary: This is a 8 month opportunity. The candidate for this role will need good written and excellent clear verbal communication. IT Support or hardware install experience is helpful but not mandatory. The candidate will also need to be comfortable with travel and have a reliable vehicle. Duration of job can be up to 8 months.
Location: Philadelphia, PA area – should be comfortable traveling to various job sites within a 2-3 hour radius of general Philly area
Pay: $17-18/hr Mileage (0.43/mile) (weekly pay on W2 – parking, tolls, other expenses also able to be reimbursed)
Responsibilities:
- Scope of each project may include installing computers, printers, scanners, workstations (laptops or desktops), routers, switches or electronic file storage devices
- Training included
- Cleanup of materials and preparing legacy devices for pickup and shipping
Requirements:
- IT training/experience preferred
- Excellent customer service/communication skills
- Must be comfortable driving to install locations
- Must have own, reliable transportation
Schedule:
- Install days are Monday through Friday 8AM-5PM (some OT could be expected)
Salary : $17 - $18
