Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Interface and support IT across a broad range of Infrastructure & Applications used to produce high-quality vehicles.
- Support process improvement efforts toward flexible and lean manufacturing, enabling the Factory of Tomorrow (e.g., IIOT, Software-defined networks, next-generation error proofing, digital solutions, and various mobility solutions).
- Support legacy manufacturing systems within the facility.
- Provide technical troubleshooting, data analysis, and problem resolution for applications & infrastructure on the plant floor.
- Lead efforts to ensure all manufacturing applications meet clients productivity goals.
- Interface daily with all business departments in the plant, from assembly and industrial controls to quality and finance.
Skills Required:
- Support a multi-shift operation in a manufacturing plant, including rotating schedules (days, nights, and weekends).
- Provide technical support (I.T. Applications, Infrastructure, operating systems, end-user productivity tools) to plant business customers.
- Interface with Business IT and business owners to prioritize improvement efforts.
- Support Plant Floor Systems / PDO teams in resolving incidents and escalations.
- Focus on the integration and long-term maintenance of applications and hardware.
- Assist team lead with managing assignments and workload.
- Develop, maintain, and share accurate support documentation.
- Support local network equipment in a Cisco-based environment.
- Support local servers across both physical and virtual environments in a Windows and Linux-based ecosystem.
- Support IIOT deployments and expansion efforts utilizing iOS and Android-based equipment.
Experience Required:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple tasks.
- Work efficiently and effectively with diverse, cross-functional teams under stressful circumstances.
- Experience with Dell PCs, Dell Laptops, HP Printers, and HP Servers.
- Knowledge of Windows Server and Windows Active Directory/ADFS.
- Experience with VM servers (vSphere).
- Ability to communicate effectively with business users and IT professionals, including globally distributed teams.
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to identify, investigate, and solve problems without supervision.
- Experience with server administration (Windows 2012 or Linux).
- Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
Education Required:
- High School Graduate
