Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain precision measuring equipment, including micrometers and calipers, to ensure accurate measurements.
- Utilize various pieces of equipment and machinery, such as band saws and mills, to perform laboratory tasks.
- Apply knowledge of accuracy, precision, and limitations of equipment to ensure quality results.
- Follow established Quality System procedures and protocols to maintain laboratory standards.
- Collect and enter data into databases, utilizing experience with Microsoft Office.
- Perform regular equipment checks and report any malfunctions to supervision.
- Analyze samples, evaluate results, and take appropriate action.
- Prepare, label, and store samples and materials according to laboratory protocols.
- Identify and report any equipment issues that require service from an outside source.
Requirements:
- Previous quality experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in chemistry, biology, the sciences, quality, or a related field.
- Open to incomplete or non-degreed candidates seeking opportunities in a laboratory setting.
