Job Title: AVEVA/OSI PI SME

Location: 100% remote

Length: 12-month contract with possible extensions

Overview:

To build custom surveillance screens in the PI System and to help standardize surveillance screens across multiple facilities to ensure consistent data visibility and functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

PI System Expertise:

• PI Data Archive: Understanding how to configure and manage the PI Data Archive for efficient data storage and retrieval.
• PI Asset Framework (AF): Experience in creating and managing AF models to organize and contextualize data.
• PI Vision: Proficiency in using PI Vision to create custom dashboards and visualization screens for real-time monitoring.
  
  

Skills & Experience Required:

• PI Expertise - Strong time series surveillance background (eg. OSI PI, PI AF, Seeq)
• Seeq experience
• Must have general understanding of OSI PI architecture
• The ability to script in languages like C#, Python, PowerShell, or VBScript for automating tasks and integrating with other systems.
• SQL and Database Management specifically the ability to query and manage databases
• Working knowledge process historians?
• Understanding of network configurations and security best practices to ensure secure data transmission and access.
• SCADA knowledge, how the interface with other systems
• PLC & DCS knowledge for data collection and control (Programmable Logic Controllers & Distributed Control Systems)
• Understanding intuitive designs concepts for dashboards
• UX principles for to make sure surveillance screens are user-friendly

• Ability to manage the implementation process, including testing and validation of the custom surveillance screens.
• Data Science background
• Offshore exposure
• Wonderware experience
