Radio Frequency (RF)/Data Links (DL) Engineer
Location: Mary Esther, FL 32569
Project: Supporting Air Force Special Operations Command Technology Integration and Support efforts.

Responsibilities:
- You will work closely with Special Operations Forces to integrate new RF/DL configurations into wearable devices that enable Special Tactics operations
- You will Identify, validate, assess RF networking shortfalls across multiple platforms
- You will support testing to measure against success criteria
- You will provide user training as needed to ensure capability integration
- You will collaborate with teammates on complex problems, and recommend improvements
- You will assist with deconstruction and interpretation of requirements supporting projects
- You will participate in architectural and design discussions
- You will participate in strategic engagements and events, as required
Requirements:
- BA/BS or equivalent experience
- DoD 8570.01 IAT level II certification required: Sec CE as a minimum
- Ability to maintain secret level security clearance
- At least 5 years providing critical RF transport and DL network engineering/administration services in the following spectrums: HF, VHF, UHF, C-L-S Bands
- Quantifiable experience with Test equipment, RF signal processing, and Antennas
- Experience with the following: PRC-163/167, PRC-160, PRC-161, and PRC-117G
- Familiar with using CPA (Harris radio programming application)
- Knowledge of IP networking
- Familiar with COMSEC use and controls
- Skilled at RF network analysis and research to identify capacity, performance, architecture, and support constraints and problems
- Ability to develop RF network engineering approaches and propose courses of action
- Ability to assess current operational architectures and configurations to improve operational effectiveness, system performance, efficiency, information security, and configuration management
- Experience identifying and documenting applicable standards and best practices
- Ability to design, develop, test, and implement suitable RF and network architectures in accordance with applicable Department of Defense (DoD), United States Air Force (USAF), United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC), industry guidance, and best practices
Preferred Skills:
- Specific experience with a majority of the following:
- Standard air-to-air and air-to-ground RF network architectures and plans
- Standard terrestrial and wireless architectures
- Standard deployable terrestrial and RF C2 node architectures
- Software defined network for aircraft, ground vehicles, and C2 nodes
