Title: Corp Food Tech Regulatory Label Specialist
Location: Remote - must be able to work EST Hours
Pay: 30.hr - 40.hr

Position Summary
Provide leadership and expertise in food labeling regulations, focusing on reviewing and approving corporate brand labels for nutritional, health/structure/function claims, and regulatory labeling requirements. Develop and provide labeling education to Client staff on consumer package labeling related to nutritional and regulatory requirements. Perform all tasks safely, efficiently, and accurately to enhance the companys performance in Safety, Quality, and Reliability (SQR). Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Essential Job Functions
- Coordinate the label approval process and prioritize workload within the Corporate Food Technology (CFT) team.
- Review and approve consumer package artwork for nutritional and regulatory compliance, including font size, text placement, product name, claims, principal display panel, and information panel.
- Review claims on packaging, point-of-sale signs, and marketing brochures for accuracy.
- Interpret and recommend independent peer review papers to substantiate health/structure/function claims.
- Stay current with regulatory and technological changes affecting food labeling laws by maintaining professional contacts with industry peers, trade associations, and government agencies.
- Develop and lead training sessions for CFT staff, packaging managers, and others on consumer package labeling requirements.
- Develop and issue food labeling metrics to reduce error rates by creating targeted training opportunities based on these metrics.
- Demonstrate excellence in project planning, execution, and timing through project evaluation and resource utilization to shorten the label approval process.
- Communicate technical labeling requirements to Quality Assurance/Product Development technologists, packaging managers, Corporate Brands category managers, Merchandising staff, and design labeling companies.
- Travel as required for essential job duties, including attending training seminars.
- Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements.

Minimum Position Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in food science, food safety, regulatory compliance, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in consumer package label compliance, food science, food product development, and/or food quality assurance.
- Ability to comprehend and interpret FDA/USDA labeling regulations and federal register postings.
- Effective communication skills for non-regulatory audiences.
