Apex Systems is looking for a Cloud Engineer/Architect to support one of our largest government clients in Huntsville, AL. This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity and is supporting a newly awarded, 8 year contract.

Pay Rate : $160,000 - $180,000
Position Description:
On our team, you’ll support the application teams and support and enhance a large cloud-based application to support mission-critical operations. This is an opportunity to use the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client’s environment using current cloud capabilities. Your technical expertise will be vital as you work with our law enforcement client to inform strategy and design and ensure standards are met throughout the cloud migration process.
You’ll recommend tools and solutions based on your research of the current environment and knowledge of various on-premise, cloud-based, and hybrid resources. You’ll lead your team as they help the client overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud. Additionally, you’ll broaden your skill set in areas like Terraform, Elasticsearch, and many other cutting-edge technologies while developing critical systems for the client.

- 8 years of experience in a professional IT environment
- Experience in Linux and Windows server administration
- Experience implementing servers and security in AWS Cloud
- Experience with Active Directory
- Top Secret clearance
- Bachelors degree
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate Certification
- Cloud Security Professional Certification
- AWS Cloud System Operations Admin Professional
