Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Senior Enterprise Data Architect, specializing in Solution Architect, IT App Dev & Support, to join their team in Raleigh, NC. This role is hybrid and expected to be onsite 3 times weekly.

Requirements:

• 15 years of Data Architecture Experience
• Experience working with the Cloud (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
• Expertise in continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) principles and workflows, with experience in implementing these principles in cloud environments
• Advanced knowledge of REST principles, service-oriented architecture (SOA), and API strategy development, including experience with API management platforms
• Experience working with AI Initiatives/Tools
• Banking/Financial Services Background

Job Description:

Position Overview: Provide IT Data Solution Architecture to support the company's mission and values. Works as a Data Solution Architect for a domain or domains in Application Development and support organization to architect, design, build, deliver, and manage organization Data structure along with providing data solutions, analytics, and integrations to support business goals and objectives. Partner with Business Stakeholders and Technical Product Managers to prioritize and roadmap delivery schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Architect to Operate: Responsible for creating, articulating, and maintaining the solution data architecture for enterprise-wide data projects. Provide scalable and innovative data solutions that enable insights and capabilities to drive business strategy. Architect, Design, and Deliver data artifacts for the solutions supporting the program/projects to identify areas of opportunity. Leverage industry-proven frameworks to deliver best-in-class solutions. Design with Supportability/Maintainability in mind.
• Road mapping: Partner with key business lines/stakeholders, IT Enterprise Architects, and Product Vendors resources to develop joint application/solution roadmaps.
• Innovation: Promote and develop an AI (Artificial Intelligence) culture that embraces technology innovation. Stay up to date on current trends and emerging technology solutions. Suggest training opportunities for developers to ensure teams are prepared for the future. Support the modernization of technologies and solutions.
• Relationships: Partner with leaders across the organization in architecting, designing, development, and delivery of the committed roadmap aligning to the strategy. Influence business and IT effectively, challenging the legacy processes and practices.
• Vendor Product Assessments: Evaluate and prepare scorecard templates, vendor evaluation matrix. Partner with vendors to plan upgrades and also influence the product roadmap.

Required Knowledge:

• Responsible for crafting and implementing a strategy, designing the requisite data models and solution architecture, and interfacing into the engineering delivery team. Passion for data architecture (Operational and Transactional databases, relational and document, BI/AI, data warehouses, data lakes), and data-driven decision making.
• Fluent in data technology solutions, with a preference for experience within large-scale financial institutions.
• Design data structures and models that facilitate complex analytical queries and integrate real-time data streams, operational data store (ODS), enhancing member and transaction analytics (BI/AI) without impacting performance.
• Experience working in Legacy and Modern OnPrem and Cloud solution and data applications with a focus on Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence.
• Ability to communicate and influence Business and IT Teams, Management, and Executive/Leadership.
• Ability to work with a technology team that uses an agile development process and structure to ensure high quality, timely delivery of features and innovative enhancements in conjunction with other teams.
• Extensive experience working in large, enterprise-level programs/projects, preferably with a background in Financial Services. • Familiarity with compliance regulations, IT, and Information Security framework.
• Advanced knowledge of REST principles, service-oriented architecture (SOA), and API strategy development, including experience with API management platforms.
• Expertise in continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) principles and workflows, with experience in implementing these principles in cloud environments.
• Exposure to docker/containerization in any of the major Cloud solutions (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform).

Nice to Have:

• Experience in creating secure and stable AI solutions in the Financial Industry using leading AI technology frameworks.
• Keep up with current and future trends and advancements in AI, Machine Learning (ML), and other emerging technologies.
• Experience in any of IPaaS integration solutions such as (Anypoint MuleSoft platform, IBM Cloud Pak for Data or Integration, Boomi, or others).
