Description : As a Network Performance Switch Technician, you will be responsible for the advanced installation, operation, and maintenance of switching, data communications, and peripheral equipment associated with the Mobile Switching Center (MSC). You will participate in multi-functional projects and work collaboratively with other skilled team members to positively impact our business.
Key Responsibilities :
Coordinate installation, testing, and troubleshooting on voice and data network platforms and transmission facilities (dark and lit fiber services, Gigabit Ethernet Services, OCn, T3, T1, and DS0).Maintain system applications using traffic and capacity monitoring tools to track errors and optimize network performance.Monitor building automated systems (BAS) to maintain network equipment operation, including AC / DC power systems and HVAC systems.Ensure a secure operating environment for vendor safety and network integrity.Update daily logs with site-specific information to track and maintain network changes.Compose reports for system documentation to maintain environmental compliance and safety standards.Support stakeholder organizations in identifying and solving complex problems.Identify processes for improvement, elimination, or automation.Assist with the cell site build program and switch inventory management.Physical Requirements :

Associate’s degree or two or more years of work experienceThree or more years of relevant work experienceAbility to perform physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodationPreferred Qualifications :
Four-year degree (BA, BS, Engineering, Computer Science)Willingness to work a flexible schedule as neededAbility to work with minimal supervision on multiple projects while meeting tight deadlinesExperience in wireless networksKnowledge or certification in LAN / WAN switching and IP routing protocols (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, NRS)Experience in automation / programming and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible)Knowledge in the use of electronic test equipmentKnowledge of transmission facilities (dark and lit fiber services, Gigabit Ethernet Services, OCn10G, OC48, T3, T1, DS0)Training or experience in data communications, digital communications, Linux operating systems and applications, telecommunications, networking or router support, DC power rectification, and battery systemsDemonstrated project management skillsExperience working with Ericsson, Samsung, Ciena, or NokiaTargeted Years of Experience : 5 years
