The Blueprint (Role Profile)
Intern assignments are project-oriented, meaningful to the department, and allow for the opportunity to take responsibility for a major task. Each intern assignment consists of challenging projects with specific goals, providing opportunities for personal growth and development. The York, PA Safety Intern will work collaboratively with EHS and operations to review and update job safety analyses.
The Build (Responsibilities)
- Gain an in-depth understanding of the day-to-day operations within the site.
- Work on value-added projects and develop relationships with peers and leadership.
- Be exposed to different facets of the business, our products, and customers to gain practical experience.
- Review and update job safety analyses, confirming JSAs are followed in production areas.
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
The Toolbox (Qualifications)
Skill Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Sophomore or junior enrolled in an undergraduate safety, operations, management, engineering, or equivalent degree program.
- GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Microsoft Office is life - you are a proven, proficient user of MS Office (specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Think fast! You like juggling multiple projects efficiently, and you enjoy the flexibility of changing priorities.
- You produce quality work - you comb over details and stay organized.
- Whether it's over IM or in person, you communicate effectively and professionally.
- You treat all tasks and projects assigned to you with an entrepreneurial spirit - you fully own your work and have pride in what you do.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous internship or work experience.
- Experience with or knowledge of Smart Sheet, SAP, or drafting programs.
