What are the responsibilities and job description for the Picker/Packer,Logistics position at Apex Tool Group?
The Blueprint (Role Profile)
The Picker/Packer will perform all tasks associated with the proper operation of Pick-to-Light and other similarly operated zones such as 50/60, Zone 03 and the Pack area. This position is for Monday-Thursday 4:00pm-2:00am
The Build (Responsibilities)
- Receive and make labels and boxes based on zone and priority
- Determine and build packaging based on product size
- Use equipment to determine location of box contents
- Verify product number to the Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) label
- Use basic mathematics to determine the appropriate number of picks
- Order additional product from other locations when stock is low
- Move boxes to additional zones when complete
- Move and lift up to 50 pounds of product as needed
- Follow safety regulations
The Toolbox (Qualifications)
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- Ability to consistently lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs
- Ability to consistently move in a full range of motion
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous distribution or warehouse experience
