Under the direction of the Audit Director, Commercial Operations, the AAI is responsible for assisting the Audit Team in daily tasks focused on building strong partnerships and driving value to our Recovery Audit Clients. Tasks include working closely with internal cross-functional teams to assist with the identification and resolution of overpayments on our client’s behalf. The AAI is expected to develop advanced research skills in Client’s ERP and workflow systems, as well as APEX’s proprietary applications to enhance the overall delivery of services.

The Work
- Serve and create value for the client.
- Shared responsibility for achieving/exceeding revenue targets for assigned engagements
- Assist, develop, and maintain positive stakeholder relationships with client business lines and suppliers
- Ensure effective, timely, and clear communications throughout internal teams and with clients
- Utilize Apex Analytix software tools to aid in the generation and resolution of audit opportunities
- Assist in coordinating cross-functional internal activities to progress project objectives daily
- Perform administrative activities as needed on a timely basis.
- Assist in the review of data and development of qualified record sets.
- Become an expert in assigned client ERP systems to understand processes pertaining to the objectives of the audit
- Ability to project competence, credibility, and professionalism, including the ability to use these qualities to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Ability to work well both in a team setting and autonomously.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with a wide variety of individuals, using terminology that is appropriate to the audience.
- Ability to produce written communication that is professional, complete, and concise.
- Ability to proactively listen and gather information pertinent to one’s work.
- Ability to demonstrate attention to detail.
- Ability to be organized and manage time on multiple projects to meet deadlines.
- Two (2) years’ experience in accounting, accounts payable, or auditing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, preferably Accounting or finance. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
