Role Description: We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to lead the design and interaction of enterprise-level application architecture. This role focuses on modernizing IT systems while ensuring alignment with business requirements, sustainability, cost control, security, and strategic goals. The selected candidate will provide technical expertise, guide application development teams, and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on cloud implementation and best practices.
You’ll be responsible for (Responsibilities):
- Architecture Leadership:
- Develop and manage enterprise-level architecture for IT systems and projects.
- Design and validate application components, APIs, and databases.
- Lead efforts in transitioning to a service-based architecture.
- Conduct architecture design reviews and recommend technical solutions.
- Collaboration and Guidance:
- Partner with program managers, application designers, and technical resources to ensure alignment.
- Act as liaison to DTMB Office of Enterprise Architecture and Enterprise Security teams.
- Technical Expertise:
- Implement cloud-based solutions ensuring security, compliance, and scalability.
- Provide support for application integration, database management, and middleware.
- Write and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Documentation and Best Practices:
- Prepare detailed documentation for architecture models, design templates, and policies.
- Ensure compliance with development methodologies, DTMB strategic plans, and security standards.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud application development, frameworks, and tools.
- Proficiency in .NET, HTML, XML, SQL, SOAP, REST, PowerShell, IaC, and Microsoft Azure.
- Experience designing distributed applications with a microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with observability and distributed tracing.
- Strong expertise in relational database concepts and secure coding practices.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Visio and Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
You’ll have (Qualification & Experience):
- Bachelor's Degree in related field is required.
