Description
The Senior Financial Accountant position will be responsible for numerous financial-related tasks globally, with primary focus on inventory costing and analysis, and account reconciliations. This position will work with individuals from all areas of the company, both domestically and internationally, and will require maintaining high professionalism and work quality.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain detailed schedules of accounts (i.e. fixed assets, prepaids, accruals, etc.).
- Assist with month-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations ensuring any differences are identified and resolved timely.
- Review and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances across entities.
- Oversee accuracy of standard costing system globally (calculate, maintain, update, and validate accuracy of rates) and reconciliation of inventory accounts. Research and resolve any significant differences.
- Review variances associated with standard costing monthly and report results. Update costing as necessary.
- Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements.
- Produce financial reports as requested, such as budget or cash flow forecasts.
- Learn Infor Visual ERP system to a level to help support the business, working cross departmentally, and with the IT team in understanding what needs to be fixed if something isn’t working correctly. Help with troubleshooting and resolving problems. See the system in its entirety – specifically what and how it impacts the financials: inventory, cogs, sales.
- Coordinate and help lead the annual physical inventory processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with audit requirements. Review of significant variances and report on results.
- Coordinate periodic slow-moving/obsolete inventory review with appropriate personnel.
- Perform, or assist with, special projects or tasks as directed.

- Ability to write and analyze routine reports and correspondence
- Experience with Infor Visual software, preferred
- Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
- Bachelor's degree in accounting. CPA is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of professional accounting experience
- Strong understanding of standard costing and/or experience within a manufacturing environment
