Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Oracle-based applications using PL/SQL, Oracle APEX, Forms/Reports, and SQL.
- Develop, schedule, and monitor daily batch jobs using DBMS_SCHEDULER or equivalent tools.
- Build and support enterprise-grade solutions for premium calculations, renewals, audits, and rating processes in workers' compensation and disability insurance systems.
- Write complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, triggers, and performance-optimized SQL queries.
- Utilize Azure DevOps Server for version control, pipeline automation, and work item tracking.
- Collaborate in hybrid Agile teams with project managers, QA analysts, and business stakeholders for the full SDLC.
- Integrate Oracle applications with external systems through REST/SOAP APIs and Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS).
- Develop or support components written in C#.NET for middle-tier integration or frontend functionality where applicable.
- Work with XML and XSLT for data transformations and configuration handling.
- Perform performance monitoring and tuning using AWR, ASH, Explain Plan, and TKPROF.
- Ensure application security, data integrity, and regulatory compliance across the system.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in Oracle application development using PL/SQL.
- Strong domain knowledge in insurance-related applications, especially for workers’ compensation and disability programs.
- Experience creating, scheduling, and supporting automated daily job processes.
- Proficiency in Azure DevOps Server, including version control, CI/CD pipelines, and backlog tracking.
- Working knowledge of C#.NET, particularly in application integration and service layer development.
- Proficiency with XML, XSLT, and schema-driven data processing.
- Strong SQL query tuning and performance optimization capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
