This position is located in Edmond, Oklahoma.
We are seeking an experienced manufacturing engineer that will work in our precious metals facility to eliminate waste in the manufacturing process and apply innovative systems to improve company workflows. Their role is to set criteria for meeting quality requirements and speed, then consistently measure manufacturing behaviors and evaluate their success. Our manufacturing engineer will identify delays in production and sources of waste, then use technology and engineering principles to refine the system. They will adjust production processes and integrate new technology to improve the supply and production chain. Our manufacturing engineers will train our team on how to properly incorporate new technology and methods into current production standards. Improvements are not limited to the manufacturing area, but go beyond to evaluate and review any improvements, regardless of department. The emphasis will be manufacturing focused, but not exclusive to manufacturing processes.
A Day in the Life of a Manufacturing Engineer:
• Evaluating existing manufacturing processes and identifying areas for improvement.
• Determining problem resolutions and implementing improvements.
• Developing detailed layouts for equipment, processes, and workflow.
• Researching and developing new processes, equipment, and products.
• Developing and implementing cost-saving measures and quality control systems.
• Ensuring manufacturing processes, equipment, and products comply with safety standards and legal regulations.
• Maintaining research and activity documentation and preparing reports.
• Ensure processes are followed to allow documentation of changes made and savings follow up.
• Collaborates with other employees and managers to set and assess priorities across teams.
• Assesses cost effectiveness and feasibility of manufacturing processes; makes and implements recommendations to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Provide assistance to the production floor.
• Process throughput improvement including but not limited to possible setup reduction, tool life improvement, processing routing changes and documentation, and other engineering needs for the floor.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing, quality and assembly issues using data analysis, experience, and feedback from employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Ability to review data sets, perform analysis, and make recommendations accordingly.

Qualifications
Education:
• Degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering or 5-10 years of applicable experience in place of degree
Experience:
• 2 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, or continuous improvement engineering preferred
• Experience evaluating and troubleshooting manufacturing processes and machinery
Computer Skills:
• Experience using CAD, CAM, data analysis programs, and related software
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Certifications:
• Yellow/Green Belt six sigma certification beneficial
Other Skills:
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong organization and management skills
• High level of technical expertise
• Strong analytical thinker

Salary : $70,000 - $80,000
