Overview
Apogee is seeking a Senior Technical Trainer in support of the United States Space Command’s (USSPACECOM) Joint Exercise and Training Division (J7) in Colorado Springs, CO.
This role is focused around supporting the Joint Exercise and Training Division including the development of courseware materials and curriculum, providing instruction, planning, development, execution, and analysis of Command-wide training, education, professional development, organizational development programs and processes, and managing projects in the Joint Training System. Furthermore, support includes the Workforce Onboarding and Development Program.
This is a full-time onsite position at Peterson SFB, Colorado Springs.
Responsibilities
Plans, develops, executes, and analyzes Command-wide training, education, professional development, and organizational development programs and processes in accordance with modern curriculum development principles (e.g., ISD, ADDIE). Deliverables shall include:

- Plan of Action and Milestone, TMT tasker, scenario development, agenda, program of instruction, modality choice, curriculum, presentation, starter package, conference guide, calendar, registration, attendance roster, instruction, hotwash, and evaluation
- Conducts periodic reviews of relevant command best practices and procedures to update and refine course content as necessary
- Maintains currency of staff practices across the Joint community, service staff organizations, and the Department of Defense
- Conducts periodic surveys of prior students to ensure students are appropriately trained on current practices and procedures
- Provides course instruction to all USSPACECOM civilian and military personnel to facilitate monthly course offerings
- Provides additional course deliverables upon request
Refines, updates, and executes the existing USSPACECOM:

- Action Officer 101 course
- Command Orientation and Mission Essential Tasks (COMET) Course, course shall consist of an introduction to the Command’s organization, mission, and campaign plan; a how-to on staff work within the Command to include writing and briefing techniques; and an introduction to the Joint Planning Process and how it is used within the Command.
- Develops courseware in accordance with modern curriculum development principles (e.g., ISD, ADDIE)
- Command Staff Officer Course (CSOC)
Qualifications
Minimum Experience:
Citizenship: US Citizenship Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain Top Secret with SCI eligibility Education: HS Diploma Experience: 16 years’ experience Additional Experience:- Have experience with ISD and ADDIE
- Understanding and familiarity with DoD course development
- Have demonstrated capability in developing course content, and instructional experience and versed in the Joint Planning Process (JPP) to include scenario development
- Must be able to test, assess student performance, and analyze training program deliverables
Preferred Qualifications:
Education:- Bachelor's degree and 10 years relevant experience OR
- Master's degree and 8 years of relevant experience
