Staff Accountant

Job Overview:
Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions, and providing support to senior accountants in the preparation of various financial reports.

Responsibilities:

Financial Record Maintenance:

• Maintain accurate and complete financial records.
• Ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded in the ledger accounts.
• Reconcile subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger.

Data Compilation and Reporting:

• Compile financial data to support senior accountants in preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
• Assist in analyzing current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations.

Financial Analysis Support:

• Aid in predicting future revenues and expenses based on current financial data.
• Provide support in financial forecasting and budgeting activities.

Compliance and Accuracy:

• Ensure the accuracy of entries and financial records.
• Comply with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

Collaboration and Support:

• Collect mail for the corporate headquarters, deposit checks and action HR & legal notices
• Work closely with other members of the accounting team to support various accounting projects and tasks.
• Assist in special projects and assignments as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Previous internship or work experience in accounting or finance is a plus but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
