Job Overview:
As a Seasonal Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing individual and small business tax returns during the busy tax season. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review individual and business tax returns, including 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120S forms.
- Conduct thorough tax research to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Identify potential tax credits and deductions to ensure maximum tax benefits for clients.
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and clarify any questions regarding their tax returns.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all tax-related tasks.
- Assist with the review of tax filings prepared by other team members to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of all client information.
Qualifications:
- CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation, with a focus on individual and small business tax returns.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., CCH Access, Drake, or similar).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Work Schedule:
This is a seasonal position from January to April, with the possibility of overtime during peak periods. Flexible hours may be available, but the ability to work during evenings and weekends as needed is required.
Compensation:
