Job Description:
The client seeks experienced Desktop Support Specialist to aid in client's Windows 11 Upgrade Project to migrate from Microsoft Windows 10 and Office 365 (32-bit) to Windows 11 and Office 365 (64-bit).
- This individual will be responsible for upgrading and reimaging workstations to Windows 11 in addition to installing and configuring Office 365 and other related software.
- The specialist will also serve as a point of contact for tracking and reporting deployment status and troubleshooting any upgrade issues.
- The Desktop Support Specialist will exhibit excellent communication and exceptional customer service skills by working directly with end users in addition to collaborating with other technical and project teams.
Skills:
Required
- Working knowledge of and experience with Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems
- Recent experience in a full-time Help Desk/Technical Support position 4
- Experience and proficiency using an Endpoint Management System 4
- Experience and proficiency using a Workstation Imaging Solution 4
- Experience and proficiency using a Service Management Ticketing System 4
- Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications 4
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities 4
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills 4
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction and as a team 4
- Ability to work effectively with end users, technical staff, and senior staff – providing exception customer service
Nice to have
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and/or SQL reporting
- Experience with Symantec's Altiris and/or Microsoft InTune
- Experience with Ivanti Service Desk
