Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and garments are cleaned, pressed, and presented to the highest standards. This role is crucial in maintaining the cleanliness and overall guest satisfaction in our establishment.
Duties
- Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment efficiently to launder items.
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold linens and garments according to established procedures.
- Inspect items for stains or damages before processing and report any issues to management.
- Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area by regularly cleaning machines and workspaces.
- Ensure proper handling of chemicals and cleaning agents used in the laundering process.
- Assist with inventory management of laundry supplies and report low stock levels.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to requests for clean items promptly.
Skills
- Previous experience in a hotel or similar environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of laundering techniques including dry cleaning processes is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality cleaning standards are met.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing time effectively.
- Good communication skills to interact with team members and guests as needed.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting heavy loads and standing for extended periods.
