Overview:
Our client, Stockton Telecom, is hiring a Level 2 Telecommunications Installation Technician to assist in basic telecommunications setup tasks within AT&T Central Offices. This role is ideal for someone with some experience in the field who wants to develop further by supporting higher-level technicians. The Level 2 Technician is responsible for foundational setup work and safety compliance, contributing to the successful installation of telecommunications systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the installation of basic telecommunications equipment, including cabling and non-operational equipment setup.
- Perform entry-level tasks such as pulling cables/wires, helping with equipment placement, and following safety protocols.
- Support higher-level technicians with documentation and quality checks to ensure each setup meets company standards.
- Help maintain an organized and safe job site, following all safety guidelines and using personal protective equipment as required.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in telecommunications installations or a related field, with a basic understanding of equipment and cabling work.
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with a team.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Willingness to learn and develop skills in telecommunications installation and equipment setup.
