Overview:
Our client, Stockton Telecom, is seeking a Level 4 Lead Telecommunications Installation Technician to lead multiple installation projects and ensure technical and safety standards within AT&T Central Offices. This role involves overseeing project crews, maintaining project documentation, conducting equipment testing, and managing high-stakes installation tasks. We are looking for a candidate with Central Office Installation experience at an AT&T central office to train new technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Train new incoming technicians
- Oversee and coordinate project activities, managing multiple crews and ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including equipment use, protective gear, and adherence to all on-site safety measures.
- Conduct installation tasks, including circuit modifications, power transitions, battery work, and software upgrades.
- Install, pull, and terminate cables and wiring as required for network and power configurations, ensuring accurate and secure connections.
- Perform Self-Quality Checks, method of procedures (MOPs), job start agreements (JSAs), and prepare installation documentation such as MDRs and AOTS for submission.
- Provide on-site leadership, including job-site supervision of subcontractor work and assigning work to crew members.
- Analyze job specifications, resolve technical issues with job drawings, and ensure alignment with client requirements.
- Conduct regular equipment tests and turn-ups, and oversee volatile work activities safely and efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Experience with Central Office Installation at an AT&T location.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in telecommunications installation or equivalent experience, with demonstrated competency in circuit modifications, power distribution, and system testing.
- Certified in Test and Turn-up procedures for relevant equipment.
- Proficient in reading and following job specifications, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams.
- Strong supervisory skills with experience providing on-the-job training and managing project safety and quality.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders and stairs, and perform repetitive tasks.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
