Summary
At Apotheco Pharmacy Group, we rely on a meticulous financial system to drive our business forward. The Accounts Payable (AP) department keeps that system running smoothly by managing cash flow and paying vendors and suppliers. The individual in this role should be a skilled financial generalist on our AP team to help process, track, and record payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. The AP Clerk will have a daily, ongoing impact on financial transactions, keeping us on track, on time, and on good terms with our valued partners.
Objectives of this role
- Support the company in optimizing its financial transactions and systems
- Strengthen and grow relationships with vendors and suppliers through timely payments
- Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts payable process
- Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting
- Comply with national and local financial regulations
Education/Experience
Required skills and qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping
- Superb time management skills and detail orientation
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and partner information
Preferred skills and qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent
- Strong mathematical skills
- Experience in Accounts Payable (or Accounts Receivable)
- Experience with accounting software and online platforms including Netsuites accounting and Mineral Tree authorization software
Duties and Responsibilities
They include the following; other duties may be assigned as needed:
- Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment
- Perform invoice and general-ledger data entry
- Fulfill documentation request submitted by external auditors
- Work with procurement department to reconcile inventory purchasing items and issues
- Work with the Treasury department to ensure timely payment and to optimize purchase discounts.
- Assist senior financial officers as needed

Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Strong mathematical skills
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply principles of logical and critical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have Strong proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office. Experience with accounting software and online platforms including Netsuites accounting and Mineral Tree authorization software
