Flight Dispatch coordinator IN ISLIP, NY
Position Summary:
The Flight Dispatch Coordinator, will assist with the day-to-day operations of a fast-paced and established full-service aircraft management and charter company. Individual should be motivated and skilled in operations, client services, and sales with an understanding of the private aircraft industry.
SALARY: $50K - $75K (based on experience)
LOCATION: ISLIP, NY
HOURS: PRIMARILY M-F, BUT MUST BE FLEXIBLE FOR ALL HOURS
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure all flights are organized and handled in a safe, efficient and professional manner in accordance with the General Operations Manual, Operations Specifications and company SOP Manual.
- Work with the flight crews assigned to company flights to ensure that safety, compliance and customer service opportunities are met.
- Arrange ground transportation, catering or other specific requests for passengers.
- Assist with aircraft handling with FBOs to include arrangements for fuel, catering, hangar, aircraft cleaning, after hours services, or other services as needed to include but not limited to airport slots, customs, and border overflight requests.
- Follow S.O.P.’s when coordinating trips and scheduling flights
- Flight-follow trip movements and monitor for flight diversions/irregular operational concerns and effectively escalate to supervisory staff as necessary
- Occasionally provide price quoting to industry customers by phone, email, or online system.
- Providing exceptional customer service for internal and external customers
- Perform other duties as required.
Experience / Skills & Abilities:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business and/or Aviation related background preferred
- The primary schedule will be M-F; however, the Flight Coordinator must have the flexibility to work in a 24/7/365 business to cover the needs of the operation and may be assigned to shifts that include days, nights, afternoons, weekends, and holidays
- Have an understanding of FAR’s 91/135, including but not limited to crew duty and rest requirements.
- Must possess effective communication, organization, presentation, and administrative skills.
- Provide a high level of professionalism and customer service and have the desire to succeed.
- Professional, well-spoken, and comfortable speaking on the phone to high-profile clients, team members, owners, vendors, and guests from all demographics.
- Work independently and as part of a team; self-motivating, outgoing, energetic, well organized & personable.
- Computer skills to include experience with Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of Jet Insight preferred.
- General knowledge of aviation, aircraft performance, geography, and travel logistics.
Salary : $50,000 - $75,000
