Position Summary The Clinical Lead Medical Assistant plays a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating the daily clinical operations of the ambulatory care setting. This dynamic position combines leadership, clinical expertise, and patient care responsibilities. The successful candidate will lead a team of medical assistants, ensuring efficient workflows, maintaining high-quality patient care, and fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Responsibilities :
Leadership and Supervision :
Provide leadership and supervision to the medical assistant team, ensuring a cohesive and efficient workflow.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including staff scheduling, task delegation, and performance management.
Clinical Support :
Perform medical assistant duties, including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and preparing patients for examinations.
Training and Development :
Conduct training sessions for new medical assistants and provide ongoing education for the team.
Quality Assurance :
Monitor and maintain compliance with clinic protocols, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Patient Interaction :
Interact with patients in a professional and compassionate manner, addressing inquiries, providing information, and ensuring a positive patient experience.
Collaboration with Healthcare Team :
Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and clinic efficiency.
Inventory Management :
Oversee and manage medical supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and ordering supplies as needed.
Performance Improvement :
Identify areas for improvement in clinical workflows and patient care processes.
Compensation is commensurate upon education and experience. Hiring compensation range starts at $18.00 / hour. This is a non-exempt position. Position Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED is required at time of hire.
Previous experience in the medical field required, preferably in an ambulatory care setting.
Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is required at time of hire.
Leadership Skills : Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team of medical assistants.
Move swiftly within the clinic.
Work primarily in an ambulatory clinic setting.
