- Experience planning and coordinating activities for children/youth
- Professional interpersonal skills
License/Certification Required
None but CRP and First Aid would be helpful.
Essential Job Functions
Position:
The purpose of the Children’s Group Facilitator position is to support families who have children with disabilities by providing child/youth care during Parent to Parent Family Support Network – High Country support group meetings. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Providing a safe, supportive, and fun environment
- Learning about the children/youth who attend meetings
- Organizing appropriate activities and keeping records, as necessary
- Working at a team with other Children’s Group Facilitators
- Communicating with Outreach Coordinators and Supervisor, as appropriate
- Completing required trainings and submitting documentation to supervisor
- Cleaning and organizing space after each meeting
Preferred Qualifications
- Reliable transportation
- Successful completion of a criminal background check
- Successful completion of required Protection of Minors training
Work Schedule/Hours
Work site may be in Ashe or Wilkes County, NC or both. Work site will be determined with applicant.
