Essential Job Functions
This position is responsible for TimeClock Plus (TCP) management and will serve as the primary contact for employees and user troubleshooting. This position also has the responsibility of providing customer services to employees and campus departments as well as keeping the University in compliance with federal and state payroll laws and regulations.
Must be able to review and process moderately complex timekeeping system reports, and cleaning and posting payroll data to a payroll system, checking data for appropriateness and accuracy, resolving the discrepancies/errors and performing the routine reconciliation of payroll data.
Knowledge of HR/ Payroll systems and security workflows is essential. Employee must also possess a through knowledge of internal controls as they relate to payroll processing, validating, and balancing.
Must have the ability to learn and use the ERP system, timekeeping system and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
2-year degree and two years of Payroll Accounting experience.
Thorough knowledge of Payroll accounting principles and fund accounting.
Proficient with timekeeping and payroll ERP systems.
Work Schedule/Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Some evenings and weekends may be required during months with a heavy workload or a short payroll processing window.
Anticipated Hiring Range: $45,751 - $51,662

- Create and manage entry of Non-Student Temporary and Full Time Employees.
- Create roles and positions, manage leave codes, and all JIRA ticket actions pertaining to TCP.
- Monitor Full Time employees time entry to ensure all holiday and leave has been inserted and totals equal total monthly earnable hours.
- Manage TCP exports, error resolution, and reconciliations.
- Maintain holiday schedules for both full time and temporary employees.
- Maintain global modifications in TCP systems (close weeks, lick periods, clean up exceptions).
- Assist Payroll Security Officer with TCP security (user creation/deletion, role assignments, etc.).
- Assist processors with comp time and edit reports, Maintain Graduate Assistant employee entry and base.
- Assist Payroll Data Officer with archiving.
- Other duties as assigned.
