The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court for the First Judicial Department, pursuant to NY Constitution, Article XIII, Section 13(a), seeks applicants for appointment to the public office of County Clerk of Bronx County. The County Clerk serves as Clerk of the Supreme Court, Civil Branch, and in that capacity is responsible for maintaining cases files and recorded minutes, and the entry of orders and judgments. The County Clerk also serves as the Commissioner of Jurors for the Supreme Court, both civil and criminal branches. Applicants must possess the qualifications required by Public Officers Law § 3, which include being a citizen of the United States and resident of Bronx County.
