Job Summary
Apple is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our Real Estate & Development facilities team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our facilities, ensuring they are safe, efficient, and meet the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair facilities, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Perform skilled trades work, such as carpentry and painting, in the construction, repair, or alteration of structures
- Work from blueprints, drawings, or rough sketches to complete tasks or projects
- Perform minor electrical repairs and plumbing repairs and maintenance
- Make periodic or special inspections of the premises to determine repair work necessary
- Directly supervise subcontracted vendors and perform quality control on their activities
- Respond after hours to emergencies when designated as an on-call technician
- Capable of working flexible hours to support business operations
Requirements
- 5 years of related experience
- Experience with, and understanding of, the accurate use of common hand tools
- Proficient in the use of specialized tools and test equipment
- Advanced understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing concepts
- Experience with construction schematics and drawings
- Experience with Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Valid California Driver's License
- NFPA 70E Electrical Safety Training and Universal EPA Training
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
- AA or BA/BS degree
- Experience with productivity software and iOS applications
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent customer service skills
