What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Writer position at Applegate Chevrolet?
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and review their concerns
- Accurately document services to be provided
- Conduct vehicle inspections and identify necessary repairs or maintenance
- Provide accurate estimates for repairs and services
- Communicate with dispatch to ensure timely completion of work
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow company policies and procedures for service operations
Experience:
- Previous experience in automotive service
- Knowledge of automotive systems, including oil changes and general vehicle maintenance
- Familiarity with mechanical concepts and ability to explain repairs to customers
- Experience as a service technician or in auto body repair is a plus
- Ability to assist accurately estimating repair costs and provide detailed explanations to customers
- Strong communication skills
- Focus on keeping and building long-term relationships with customers
