What are the responsibilities and job description for the Procurement Category Manager position at AppleOne Employment Services?
๐ Responsibilities:
๐น Technology Procurement Strategy: Develop buying strategies for tech products & services by analyzing spending, market trends, and business needs.
๐น RFP/RFQ Management: Create, lead, and manage Request for Proposals (RFP) and Quotes (RFQ) processes, ensuring compliance and effective supplier selection.
๐น Contract Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate contract terms with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms on pricing, service levels (SLA), and key performance indicators (KPI).
๐น Financial Analysis & Modeling: Conduct financial analysis (ROI, NPV, supplier scorecards) to support sourcing decisions.
๐น Stakeholder & Supplier Collaboration: Build relationships, ensure policy compliance, and drive supplier performance improvements.
๐น Performance Monitoring: Continuously track supplier performance, identify issues, and drive improvements.
๐ Skills & Qualifications:
โ Experience: Minimum 3 years in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, supplier management, and project management.
โ Industry Background: Strong technical sourcing & procurement experience with a must-have focus on Audio/Visual (AV) sourcing.
โ Education: Bachelorโs degree required; masterโs degree preferred.
