We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Controller to join our growing team. The Controller will be a key member of our leadership team, responsible for all aspects of the company's financial operations. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and operational management.
Responsibilities :
Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, and month-end / year-end closing.
Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and all relevant regulations (IRS, EPA, etc.).
Manage all aspects of the company's financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Oversee and coordinate all non-operational services (IT, insurance, etc.).
Manage vendor relationships and contracts.
Maintain company records and ensure data accuracy.
Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
CPA certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller or similar role.
Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
Experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
