What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimator position at AppleOne?
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze project blueprints, specifications, and other related documents.
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for manufacturing projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and vendors to gather necessary information and ensure estimates are comprehensive.
- Perform cost analysis and offer recommendations for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Prepare and present bid proposals to clients and management.
- Monitor and track project costs against estimates to ensure budget adherence.
- Stay updated on industry trends, material prices, and manufacturing techniques.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in estimating within the manufacturing industry or a related field.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and cost factors.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
