Paralegal - Be a Key Part of a growing Legal Team!
Our client is looking for a skilled and dedicated Paralegal to provide essential support to our attorneys, allowing them to focus on their core legal work. As the primary point of contact for our clients, you'll play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service and ensuring seamless case management. What You'll Do :
Client & Case Management :
Serve as the main point of contact for clients, responding to inquiries, providing updates, and ensuring top-notch service.
Manage daily tasks assigned by attorneys, aiming for a minimum of 6 billable hours per day (with up to 2 hours for administrative tasks).
Maintain organized and confidential physical and electronic client files.
Legal Support :
Schedule hearings, deadlines, and other events.
Prepare legal documents (letters, basic court documents, contracts) using standard forms.
Conduct legal research.
Assist with court preparation and provide courtroom support.
Prepare discovery requests and responses.
Monitor relevant pending legislation.
Additional Duties :
Complete legal forms.
Draft motions for attorney review.
Provide support for real estate or corporate merger closings as needed.
Utilize the firm's CRM system to manage tasks, document case updates, and track time.
What You'll Need :
Education & Experience :
A college or university program in legal or paralegal studies is required.
North Carolina Certified Paralegal designation is preferred.
3-5 years of experience in a law firm setting is required; prior experience as a legal secretary or assistant is a plus.
Skills :
Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Proficient legal research, writing, and drafting skills.
Familiarity with CRM software, document management systems, and standard legal software.
Smokeball experience a plus!
