Position Summary
Join our dynamic team as a key player in the Production Test Department! You'll assist the Test Supervisor in managing daily activities, resolving technical issues, and ensuring the safety and efficiency of our operations. Your role will involve performing production testing and troubleshooting of high voltage (2KVA to 200KVA), AC and DC power, and frequency converters, along with their subassemblies (System Control Boards, Inverter / Rectifier Control Boards, Filter assemblies, etc.).
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Production Testing and Troubleshooting :
Follow detailed test procedures and record data on completed units.
Document and report any malfunctioning unit operations.
Troubleshoot faults using block diagrams and schematics down to the system, board, and component levels.
Subassembly Testing and Troubleshooting :
Read and follow written procedures.
Download software programs from the network into components and assemblies using Windows-based programs.
Test and troubleshoot down to the component level on Printed Wiring Assemblies.
Department Management Assistance :
Understand the production schedule and prioritize tasks accordingly.
Ensure all safety protocols are followed.
Mentor and train other Test Technicians.
Provide improvement recommendations to the Test Supervisor.
Engineering Support :
Assist in the design and construction of test fixtures and associated procedures.
Isolate production problems from engineering problems.
Additional Duties :
Perform any other tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in electronics testing / troubleshooting.
Experience with power conversion.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and wire lists.
Ability to comprehend test procedures and data sheets.
Strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with assembly personnel and engineers.
Comfort with software loads and using PuTTY.
Proficiency with standard test equipment, including multi-meters, oscilloscopes, Meg-Ohm meters, Hi-pot testers, and thermal imagers.
Willingness to work overtime as required.
Documented US Citizenship or Legal Permanent Resident status.
