We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Legal Administrative Assistant! In this role you will provide essential administrative and clerical support to attorneys and legal professionals ensuring the efficient operation of the legal department.
Job Responsibilities:
-Assist attorneys with the preparation and filing of legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, motions, and contracts.
-Draft and proofread routine correspondence, legal documents, memos, and emails.
-Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems, both electronic and physical, ensuring legal documents are properly organized and easily accessible.
-Manage attorney calendars, scheduling client meetings, depositions, court dates, and other appointments.
-Answer and direct phone calls, handle inquiries, and relay messages in a professional and timely manner.
-Prepare expense reports and handle billing, invoicing, and document tracking.
Qualifications and Skills:
-Proven experience (2 years) as an administrative assistant, legal assistant, or in a related administrative role, preferably in a legal setting.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, court personnel, and attorneys.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and legal management software (e.g., Clio, MyCase, LexisNexis, etc.).
