Are you an experienced Property Management Accountant with a strong background in commercial property management and bookkeeping? We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team and play a key role in managing financial and operational responsibilities across multiple properties in Orange County.
Key Responsibilities :
Core Responsibilities :
Work in an open office environment, handling tenant inquiries and after-hour calls.
Field vendor calls and manage emergency maintenance issues.
Arrange repairs and maintenance for multiple properties.
Prepare and distribute monthly tenant billing statements.
Post rent and cash receipts into the accounting system.
Oversee rent collection and maintain rent rolls.
Secondary Responsibilities :
Develop scope of work for RFPs related to vendor services (recurring & non-recurring).
Assist in annual budget preparation and track monthly variances.
Maintain lease files and ensure compliance with agreements.
Review invoices and expenses to ensure alignment with budgets and proposals.
Code operating invoices for data entry and manage accounts payable.
Conduct site inspections and provide management support for on-site property managers.
Oversee tenant improvements and major repair projects.
Calculate tenant charges, including CAM Charges & Reimbursements.
Prepare annual CAM reconciliations.
Qualifications & Requirements :
3 years of experience in commercial property management.
3 years of bookkeeping experience, including journal entries and accrual accounting.
Proficiency in Sage (formerly Timberline).
Strong understanding of GAAP and property accounting principles.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Property Management (preferred).
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
