Overview:
A Grocery Department manager is responsible for planning, directing, controlling all functions of the Grocery department. They order product to satisfy ad programs and customer purchasing habits. Controls inventory levels, gross profit sales and hours. A Grocery manager also unloads products from trucks, operates stock dollies, pallet jacks and case cutters. They lift and stack up to 50 # and reach and stock product on shelves and racks up to 6 feet high. They also work in the cooler and freezer and perform sweeping, mopping,and general cleaning functions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Schedule, train and manage employees.
- Strong customer service skills
- Pull or push wheeled vehicles weighing up to 200 pounds.
- Provide verbal & physical assistance to customers and employees.
- Perform mopping, sweeping and general cleaning duties around their work area.
- Perform freshness checks and re-condition product.
- Maintain product rotation and control loss
- Prepare stock and merchandise products.
- Planning and purchasing merchandise for daily, weekly and holiday sales.
- Planning and purchasing to increase Profitability and control Shrink
- Communicates with others in a polite and professional manner.
- Bends and stoops, twists and turns
- Must be available weekends and Holidays
- Operate pallet jacks.
- Operate hydraulic baler
- Maintain quality service by enforcing company standards and policies
- Comply with OSHA health and safety regulations

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
