What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Health Provider position at Appleton Area Health?
Appleton Area Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Professional to join our growing team who is registered as a LICSW, LMFT, or Psychologist.
The successful candidate will be able to evaluate/diagnose mental and emotional disorders of individuals through interview, assessment, observation, and screening to:
- Make appropriate referrals
- Formulate a course of mental health treatment
- Provide treatment through direct clinical services as well as consultation with other providers.
Additional experience/qualifications:
- Must have an advanced knowledge of mental illness, personality development, knowledge of the types of treatment, and skills in the conducting individual therapy.
- Skills in family and group therapy preferred.
- Strong communication skills are needed to interact with patients, patients’ family members, multidisciplinary team, community agencies, and other resources.
- Must possess psychosocial diagnostic skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in both verbals, and in written form.
- Must possess skills in de-escalation techniques.
- Possess time management skills
- Possess critical thinking skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
